About
We help children engage their bodies and minds through fun and educational activities.
About us
The pre-school (as Botesdale & Rickinghall Playgroup) was founded over 30 years ago and orginally met in the old school house at Rickinghall. The closure of Rickinghall Village School in 1994 and its move to a brand new premises (renamed as St. Botolph’s School) left the pre-school homeless until it found a new home at Botesdale Village Hall later that year. The pre-school has remained at this location ever since.
Our committee
We have a new and wonderful team of volunteers that make up our committee and all share the same passion in that we want the best
for the preschool, the staff and most importantly the children. I can’t wait to see where the team take us and how we will support
the preschool staff in 2024.

Health & Safety
Your child’s health and safety are our top priority. Our setting has strict guidelines for cleanliness and security.
Our preschool setting include:
- Well planned spaces with rounded corners and soft surfaces
- Secure areas that keep children constantly within sight
- Robust security measures includes passwords and photgraphs of people who have permission to pick up.
Our Community
Our families come from nearby villages, creating a close-knit environment and strong parent partnerships. the setting is ideal for busy working families and easy to get to – for pick-up and drop-off or to stop in for a visit.
Our children regularly visit the local community as it is so important for the children to build up a sense of community from a young age and learn about where they fit in and understand the value of local services.
A strong community provides a supportive and inclusive environment that helps children grow their social, emotional skills and feel a sense of belonging.
